I have photographed over 100 weddings all over Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida. I love to travel so no wedding is too far!
I’m here to make you feel and look your best through candid and natural poses that don’t feel forced or awkward, while making the wedding process easy and fun for everyone (even the groom!) After the cake has been eaten, the DJ has played the final song, your guests have left and you hang up your dress, all that remains are memories. It’s a good thing photographs last forever! Here at Sarah Wells Photography it is my goal to serve you from beginning to end. My most popular package is an all inclusive that has everything you need on your big day. This package includes 8-9 hours of wedding coverage with a second shooter. This allows me to capture every little detail of your day from. It also comes with a complimentary 1 hour bridal and 1 hour engagement session. I also provide a customized timeline based on what's important to YOU on the BEST DAY EVER. WHAT IF WE ARE AWKWARD IN PHOTOS? CAN YOU WORK WITH THAT?
Don't worry, most of my couples are shy or feel awkward in front of a camera! For me, a photo session isn’t just about snapping pretty pictures, it’s about making memories. I love creating emotion and connection in my images as much as possible, so I use a mix of posing direction and candid prompts to help you get comfortable and look your best. No matter how awkward you think you are, I'll make sure you look natural and relaxed! On the wedding day, I like to photograph in a mix of traditional and documentary styles. I'll make sure to get some posed group photos of your family and wedding party, as well as some of just you two, but the rest of the time I’ll be in the background capturing the little moments of your day.
HOW DO YOU DELIVER PHOTOS? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET THE IMAGES BACK?
use a site called Shootproof to create an online gallery where you can select your favorite photos, download your images, plus order prints, albums, and wall art. Digital photos are delivered in about 2-3 weeks for bridals/engagements and 10-12 weeks for weddings.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR SESSIONS AND WEDDINGS?
Yes! I'm based in McComb, MS, but I love to explore new places. I'd love for you to reach out no matter where you live! For specific details on travel pricing, please contact me as costs can vary based on time of year, the destination, and if there are any additional events to be covered.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS? DO I NEED TO SIGN A CONTRACT?
A contract and retainer fee is required for all sessions and events and is due at the time of booking. The contract can be viewed and signed online, and confirms that I am officially reserving your date and we can start taking the next steps together. For all collections, $500 is required at signing, and then the remaining balance can be split into a payment plan or paid in a single payment. For a la carte bridal or engagement sessions, $75 is required at the time of signature to hold the date, and the remainder is due when we complete your session.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY TO SHOOT FOR LIGHTING?
My favorite time to shoot is right before sunset (what we photographers like to call "golden hour"). This time of day is perfect for soft lighting that flatters everyone's features. It's great for couples' sessions, weddings, and portraits. When you book your wedding I will help you plan your ceremony time based on if you plan to do a first look or not, how large your family/bridal party is, and what time of year it will be.
